In the summer, it feels so awesome to just go the beach and chill. You could do so many things at the beach! Tan, swim, play volleyball, meet new people, its endless! Here are a few beaches that are near.
Grand Haven Beach
– Don’t forget to catch their nightly water shows, and the super fun Coast Guard weekend in the summer. Also, pronto pups are the best things ever. No joke! Try them, you won’t regret it!
Holland State Park Beach
– Holland State Park offers an expansive, sandy beach along Lake Michigan, two large campgrounds and a beautiful view of sailboats and sunsets. The park is divided into two separate units; one along Lake Michigan and the other along Lake Macatawa. It’s definitely the perfect place to go if you don’t like super crowded beaches, the environment is much more relaxed here.
– Millennium Park is a unique, ambitious project to reclaim 1,500 acres of heavily-used land for public recreation. The park encompasses rolling terrain and extensive wetlands and lakes southwest of Grand Rapids, between Johnson Park and John Ball Park. Its land is rich in natural resources, featuring woods, wildlife, fish and waterfowl. Facilities within the park now include a six-acre beach and splashpad, nearly 20 miles of trails, and other diverse opportunities for recreation. Touching Grand Rapids, Walker, Grandville and Wyoming, Millennium Park is one of our nation’s largest urban parks.
